Badger Wind Farm will help meet North Dakota’s energy needs by providing clean, reliable wind-powered electricity. Developed by Ørsted, this 250 MW project will power around 110,000 homes every year, while creating new opportunities and economic benefits for Logan and McIntosh Counties. The farm is expected to operate for 30 years, delivering long-term value to the community.

Badger Wind Farm is projected to contribute tens of millions of dollars in tax revenue to local services over its lifespan without raising costs for residents. This increased tax base will support essential services, including schools and public safety. With 200–300 construction jobs and permanent roles for ongoing operations, the project will provide a significant boost to the local workforce and stimulate economic growth.

Landowners partnering with Badger Wind Farm can expect a consistent income, with payments averaging $2 million annually, while only a small portion of their land is needed for wind turbines. This approach allows agricultural activities to continue on the majority of their property, providing income diversification that enhances financial security and resilience against changing commodity prices for the agricultural community.

Logan and McIntosh Counties benefit directly from the Badger Wind Farm’s contributions to local education and services. Over its 30-year operation, Badger Wind Farm is projected to generate more than $15 million in tax revenue, providing essential support to school districts, fire departments, and public health facilities in the area.
